Check what your account allows
ScreenCandy is in beta. Public paid plans, prices and included limits are not final for purchase here. Having an account does not always include online saving.
Making a local recording or MP4 file is a separate task. If a plan message blocks an upload, read that message first. Do not assume online space is free or unlimited.
Check your space
The web account area has a Storage view.
- Check that the right account is signed in.
- Open the account’s storage information.
- Compare the available space with the video file’s size.
- Look for space marked as reserved.
- Check any paused or unfinished saves.
- Wait for their status to settle before starting another save.
Understand the limits
Reserved space is held for a save that has not finished yet. It can affect the space left for a new file. A single file can also be too large, even with space left.
Follow the file limit shown by your app. The current browser limit is about 134 MB. Some messages call the same size 128 MiB, using different units.
Your browser may also need device space to keep a local copy. These limits do different jobs.
If the numbers or plan are unclear
Unavailable storage information does not mean empty or unlimited storage. Try the account view again when your connection is working. Keep the local video if online saving is blocked.
Email hello@screencandy.online with the message and your question about access. A test payment screen does not confirm a launched paid plan. Check with the team before paying.
Before deleting a video to make space, keep any file you need. Read the delete message carefully, as online deletion is not the same as removing a local copy.
