Know which copy you have
A browser take can be kept on the device where you recorded. A download is a separate file you can keep elsewhere. A Mac project holds your edits and links to source files.
A finished MP4 is the video made from those edits. An online library entry is a saved finished copy. Having one of these does not prove you have all the others.
Check each stage
Read the current state instead of assuming that Stop finishes every stage.
- Wait for the browser’s local video preview after a take.
- Use Download a copy to keep a separate file.
- Open that file to check it plays.
- Wait for online saving to finish if you chose it.
- Open the finished video from your signed-in online library.
- Play it before relying on that online copy.
- Make a viewing link separately if someone else needs to watch.
Keep the copies you need
Saved on this device means the local take is ready. It does not confirm an online save. Paused or retry messages also mean saving is not complete.
Clearing browser data can remove local takes and pending save copies. Download important takes before clearing data or changing browser profiles. Keep your Mac project and source files for future edits.
The finished online video does not hold the full editable Mac project.
If saving is still pending
Keep the original file and the local copy. Use the save or retry action for that existing job. Stay signed into the account that began it.
Check the library before starting another upload, as the first may have finished. When saving completes, check actual playback. Recovery tools may help after an interruption, but cannot promise every piece is intact.
Long takes and forced app closes remain beta limits.
