Choose the right action

Import a recording into the Mac app when you want to edit it. Save a finished file online when you want to watch or share it. Online saving depends on your plan.

It does not add the full Mac editor to the browser. A finished video is one picture and sound file. Uploading it does not bring back separate screen, camera or microphone layers.

Open a file in the Mac app

Keep your original recording somewhere you can find it again.

  1. Choose Import video in the Mac app.
  2. Choose the recording you want to edit.
  3. Wait for the app to prepare the project.
  4. Check that the picture and sound are right.
  5. Read the script: the written words from your recording.
  6. Check for wrong or missing words.
  7. Make a small edit.
  8. Watch the result.
  9. Save the finished video as an MP4 file when ready.

Save a finished file online

If your plan allows it, use Save video in the web library. Choose a supported finished file. The current app accepts MP4, MOV and WebM, with size and playback checks.

Check the size limit shown in your app. A file name ending in .mp4 does not prove the contents will work. Leave your original file in place while saving.

If the file is refused

Open the file in a normal video player first. Check its picture, length and sound. Read the app’s error message for the next step.

If the file changed during export or copying, choose it again afterwards. Changing a file’s ending is not a way to convert it. If the problem repeats, email the team its type, size and length.
