Finish your edit first
An MP4 is a finished video file that you can keep or share. The Mac app makes it from your current edit. It includes your chosen part of the project and supported picture treatments.
Check the start, ending and recent cuts with sound. Settle any Auto Polish preview before you save. Fix script or subtitle warnings too.
A warning may point to a problem in the result.
Save to a place you can find
Use the video export tool in your Mac build. The sharing panel also offers Save MP4.
- Check the video settings.
- Check that the chosen range covers the part you want.
- Choose a folder in the save box.
- Give the file a name that helps you spot this version.
- Wait for the app to finish saving.
- Open the MP4 from that folder in a normal video player.
- Check its length, picture, voice, subtitles and final step.
Know which copy you downloaded
Download a copy in the browser keeps the recorded take. It may be MP4 or WebM, depending on browser support. That file does not contain edits you later made on your Mac.
Save a new MP4 from the Mac app to keep those changes. Renaming a WebM file to end in .mp4 does not convert it. Keep the original and your editable Mac project for later work.
If saving fails or a part is missing
Read the error message first. Check that source files are still available. Check that the destination folder can accept the file.
If a subtitle warning blocks saving, fix that issue before trying again. If the ending is missing, check the chosen project range. Email the team if the same problem repeats.
Include your app version, video length and safe error text. Leave private recordings out of the first message.
